Welcome Reception
Vienna Rathaus (City Hall) Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz 1, Vienna 1010
Vienna City Hall is a neo-Gothic building on the Vienna Ringstrasse, featuring one of the largest courtyards in Europe. It still serves as the official residence of the mayor as well as being a meeting place for both the municipal council and state government. Built between 1872 and 1883, the soaring central tower of the Rathaus is easily identifiable on Vienna's skyline and the building hosts what was once the largest room in the country: the Festival Hall, spanning 71 meters.
